Roel Cortez was a Filipino singer and songwriter known for his Tagalog hit songs in the 1980s. His songs include “Napakasakit, Kuya Eddie”, “Dalagang Probinsyana”, “Pinay sa Japan”, and “Bakit Ako’y Sinaktan”. He released a compilation album, Best of Roel Cortez, in 1992, which featured 16 songs. He married Corazon and started ‘CPC Builders’, a Civil Engineering course for his wife.
