Basil Salvador Valdez is a Filipino singer who gained recognition for his solo career in the 1970s. He joined the Circus Band in 1972 and released his first solo album, Ngayon at Kailanman. Valdez collaborated with Ryan Cayabyab, who became his musical director for 27 years. In the 1980s, he re-invented as a movie theme singer, showcasing his healing abilities.
